RISE. BUILD. RESPOND.

The gap

Working out isn't the same as being job-ready.

Most traditional gyms aren't designed to prepare you for the actual physical demands of the job. And some people preparing for physically demanding careers discover too late that simply "working out" isn't the same as preparing for the job.

Read Gloria's story
I had never been to a personal trainer before and had been injuring myself trying to train for the firefighter physical test on my own. She met me right where I was at and always helped me believe I could reach my goal. She graciously pushed me to my absolute limits so that I passed the test without any injuries! She is so much more than a personal trainer; she is my mentor and my hero!

Fire FAQ

Before you start.

Text us a question
How far ahead of my CPAT should I start?

The earlier the better. Text us your test date and where you're starting from, and we'll recommend a single session, 4-pack, or 8-pack.

Do I need to be in shape already?

No. We start where you are. Sessions are scaled to your current ability and built up from there, so you get stronger without getting hurt.

Is this only for career firefighters?

No. BDP Fire is for aspiring firefighters, academy recruits, and career and volunteer firefighters.

Can I take the CPAT at BDP?

No. BDP isn't an official test site. We prepare you for it, and you test through your department or an authorized provider.

What do I need before my first session?

Sign the waiver, wear clothes you can move in, and bring water. We'll handle the rest.
